  Qualifications of Candidates
   
 
1.
Candidates must be Thai and not over the age of 40 at the date when they apply for a scholarship.
2.
Educational Qualifications
2.1 Scholarships for Masters Degree program. Candidates must hold a Bachelors Degree with a grade point average of no less than 2.50. If candidates are currently enrolled in a Masters Degree program, they should have a grade point average of no less than 3.00.
   
2.2 Scholarship for Doctoral Degree program Candidates must hold a Bachelors Degree with a grade point average of 3.25 or a Masters Degree with a grade point average of 3.50. If candidates are currently enrolled in a Doctoral Degree program, they should have a grade point average of 3.50 (or according to the discretion of the committee).
   
2.3 Scholarship for Post-Doctoral Degree program Candidate must hold a Doctoral Degree.
3.
Selected candidates must enroll as full time students.
4.
Candidates should not be in receipt of any other scholarship unless the amount awarded is less than the actual expenses including the expenses indicated in B(2.1), B(2.2) and B(2.3) below. In such cases an additional scholarship may be granted.
5.
Candidates must have a record of good behavior.


Nature of the Scholarship
 
1.
Duration
 
1.1 No longer than 2 years for a Masters Degree program
1.2 No longer than 5 years for a Doctoral Degree program
1.3 1-2 years for Post-Doctoral Degree Program according to the discretion of advisor and Academic Committee
2.
Scholarship Package
2.1 Tuition and fees per actual costs
2.2 Research fee is paid directly to the program and is allocated as follows :
 
  • Masters Degree program : maximum of 150,000 baht per student for the entire
    program
  • Doctoral Degree program : maximum of 300,000 baht per student for the entire
    program
  • Post-Doctoral Degree program : actual cost or maximum of 500,000 baht per recipient.
2.3 Monthly Stipend
 
  • Masters Degree program - no more than 7,000 baht for a maximum of 24
    months
  • Doctoral Degree program - no more than 10,000 baht for a maximum of 60 months if scholarship starts from Bachelors Degree program, or 48 months if scholarship starts from Masters Degree program
  • Post-Doctoral Degree program - no more than 35,000 baht for a maximum of 24 months


Terms and Conditions of the Scholarship
 
1.
Recipients of the scholarship must submit a transcript and progress report on their theses each semester to the program administrator granting the scholarship.
2.
There must be a clear acknowledgement of the scholarship in publications and theses of recipients.
3.
Recipients must maintain a grade point average of no less than 3.00. Exceptions can be made only at the discretion of the committee.
4.
The Management Committee reserves the right to discontinue a scholarship if the academic performance of a recipient is lower than 3.00 or if the recipient is not qualified as indicated in A.
5.
If recipients take longer than the time limit, they have to be responsible for all expenses beyond the stated limit.


Terms and Conditions of Post- Doctoral Degree Program Scholarship
 
1.
An advisor on the Post-Doctoral Degree program must have at least 1 publication/year on average within the previous 3 years and receive at least one grant for research work of no less than 500,000 baht.
2.
An advisor on the Post-Doctoral Degree program must not be the major advisor of the recipient when studying in the Doctoral Degree program.
3.
The Academic Committee will consider the research proposal and approve the scholarship.
4.
Recipients must submit a research progress report every 6 months.
5.
Recipients should have at least 1 international publication derived from research work.
6.
The Management Committee reserves the right to discontinue a scholarship if 2 research progress reports are not submitted or research work of the 1 year does not meet the target given in the research proposal.


Other cases will depend on the discretion of the Management Committee.
